Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF)
The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) Program is hosted by the Department of Physiology at Wayne State University.
The SURF Program provides outstanding undergraduate students to learn more about:
- research in physiology,
- introduction to graduate programs, and
- a stipend for 10-12 weeks of full time laboratory research training.
SURF Program participants will also present their research to fellow participants, current students and trainees, and Faculty.
The program is open to undergraduates with a 3.0 or Better GPA and an interest in Physiology. Awards will be made on the basis of academic achievement, experience, commitment to basic research, and availability of mentors. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept international scholars at this time.
The application deadline for the upcoming summer is March 1st.
We look forward to working with you,
Charles Chung, Ph.D.
